An Stuc sits in the middle of 5 Munros that form an arc around the head of Lawers Burn to the north of Loch Tay. Many would put this as one of the finest peaks in the area due to its fantastic conical summit and craggy eastern face. The views down over Lochan Na Cat directly below are also particularly fine.
An Stuc has a north east ridge which connects to the Munro Meall Garbh and a south western ridge that connects to its higher neighbour of Ben Lawers. There are excellent scrambling opportunities on each of these ridges.
As mentioned these peaks are best climbed in one route with parking available at the now shut Lawers Visitor Centre just north of Killin. An Stuc with its impressive features and views is definitely peak of the day.
