Beinn a Chreachain forms part of what is known as the Great Wall of Rannoch. This is 4 Munros which sort of if you squint one eye and close the other look like a wall to guard the southern end of Rannoch Moor. Beinn a Chreachain is normally climbed with Beinn Achaladair starting at Achaladair Farm just north of Bridge of Orchy.
The climb will take you up the north east summit ridge of Beinn a Chreachain following Lochan a Chreachain which sits in the bowl of the corrie. Beinn a Chreachain is higher than its neighbour Beinn Achaladair but lacks the features which Achaladair has including its huge north face.
The height of Beinn a' Chreachain makes it a fine vantage point to view all the other Munros and lochs in the area...of which there are many to see!
There is parking available at Achaladair Farm on the edge of Achaladair Woods which you need navigate through to the start the route
