Beinn Ime - DESCRIPTION

Beinn Ime is the highest of the 3 Munros which make up the bulk of the Arrochar Alps. Near the summit there are numerous craggy outcrops which make for an interesting end to the climb and some brilliant scramble opportunities. Beinn Ime can be seen from most hills in the southern highlands due to the sheer size of it in comparison to its nearest neighbours. One of the best aspects of Beinn Ime is the number of access points. There are many to choose from so you can avoid the crowds and take the slightly less unusual routes these include the approach from Loch Fyne, Loch Lomond or via The Rest and be Thankful (A83) . Combining Beinn Ime with Ben Vane and Beinn Narnain makes up a fantastic day on the hills taking in 3 Munros. Your day can be topped off if you combine the walk with The Cobbler which lies south of Beinn Ime over a high connecting bealach. The cobbler is not a Munro but most definitely takes the title of one of the best Corbetts (2500 - 3000ft).
