Creag a Mhaim - DESCRIPTION

Creag a Mhaim is part of a group of 7 Munros known as the south Glen Shiel ridge stretching 14km from the head of Loch Cluanie in the east to the start of Glenshiel Forrest in the west. They can be completed in one long and extremely rewarding day out. The southern faces along the ridge overlook Glen Quoich and the slopes are generally steep but grassy. The northern slopes overlook the remote areas of the Kintail Forrest and are bitten into by a series of corries for much of the duration of the ridge. This gives rise to an extremely craggy northern face particularly towards the eastern end of the ridge. The south Glen Shiel ridge is one of the best of Scottish Mountaineering and a good day out should be had by all.

Creag a Mhaim is the most eastern Munro on the ridge connected on its western side to Druim Shionnach

If you wish to complete the ridge in one outing having lots of daylight and 2 cars would be very helpful otherwise you have an 18km walk back. Failing this a bicycle can be used to get you from one end to the other along the A87. The ridge can happily be separated up into 2 or 3 outings should you wish.
