Geal Charn is one of the northern Munros within this region ,which is normally accessed from the A86 at Loch Laggan. It is connected to Creag Pitridh by a high wide bealach; these two are normally climbed together. The hill itself is much wider and flatter than its nearest neighbours and lacks a lot of the features they have.
The northern slopes do boast some craggy flanks however as these slopes are bitten into by a large corrie.
The south east face drops gently to Loch Pattack and the south west ridge connects to Creag Pitridh via an easy bealach.
Beinn a Chlachair can happily be added to your outing if you are fit but does involve a fairly large descent / re-ascent.
