Meall nan Eun lies deep in the heart of Glen Etive just to the west of the hills of the Black Mount. Meall nan Eun is normally climbed in conjunction with Stob Coire an Albannaich, although the 2 hills could not be any more different. Meall nan Eun is a huge rounded hill where the true summit is hidden from mostly every angle. Stob Coire an Albannaich on the other hand is a sharp pointed summit with superb summit ridges.
The normal route of ascent starts from Invercharnan on the single track road through Glen Etive leading to Loch Etive. There are other routes are available which start at Victoria Bridge near Loch Tulla to the east. This route will however involve a fairly lengthy walk in/out.
Meall nan Eun is possibly outclassed by its surrounding neighbours but will make a good addition to any route you choose in this area.
