Mullach na Dheiragain lies 4km NE of Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan along its NE ridge. It’s really just a subsidiary top of Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan but it has been granted its own Munro status and who are we to rock the boat. It is however a worthy Munro and the 4km ridge has superb steep craggy drops on either side (especially west) for the duration giving a fantastic traverse to the summit. The summit ridge drops sharply to Gleann Sithidh to the west. To the east of the summit a small corrie bites into the ridge giving rise to a subsidiary peak Mullach Sithidh just 8m shorter than Mullach nan Dheiragin itself.
Mullach nan Dheiragin is logically climbed along with Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan otherwise you will add a lot of extra km to what is already a huge walk in.
There is a youth hostel south in Glen Affric should you wish to stay and do a multiday expedition in this rather remote area of the highlands, this is probably the best way to see all that Glen Affric has to offer !
