Tom Bhuidhe sits on the SE corner of a large flat summit plateau taking in 4 Munros. The summit is rounded and really just a small rise on the main plateau. The hill lacks any distinctive features and has no direct corries on any of its faces unlike its neighbouring Munros. Further south however there is a deep corrie that drops to Canness Glen. These slopes here are steep and craggy.
The other Munros on the plateau include Tolmount directly north of Tom Bhuidhe, Carn an Tuirc and Carn of Clause, both further west. The 4 are normally climbed together.
There is parking available just north of the Glenshee Ski Centre on the A83. From here easy paths lead up the western face of Carn an Tuirc and on to the rest of the Munros on the plateau. There are other routes that approach from the east up Glen Doll
